Would you like your child to keep touch with the German language during your stay in Penang?
Then you are right with us!

The German School Association Penang offers German lessons for children with native German language skills.
The Deutsche Schulverein Penang (German School Association) was founded in 1996 with the aim of enabling our children to learn German in their native language.
This is intended to avoid major deficits in the subject German and to make later integration into a German school easier.
That is why the lessons are given by a native German teacher in the rooms of the children’s respective schools. This is currently taking place at St Christopher’s International Primary School (SCIPS) and The International School of Penang (Uplands).
For whom are the German classes suitable?
The lessons are primarily aimed at children with German skills at native level who have already attended a German school in the past or will attend in the foreseeable future.
The German lessons are intended to ensure that the students continue to develop their language skills and can be integrated into their class levels when they return to Germany.
In addition, the children should become or remain familiar with the culture, history and geography of Germany. Pupils in higher years are also prepared for upcoming exams (IGCSE, IB – comparable middle school leaving certificate or Abitur) in German.
Children of all ages are taught, from pre-school to 13th grade.
Lessons take place in small groups with a maximum of 12 students.
It is taught according to the Thuringian curriculum.
